I think this is where the line NEEDS to be drawn. Necrophilia is not acceptable.

THE AMOUNT OF REPOSTS ON MY DASHBOARD IS TOO DAMN HIGH!

Text

My parents just told me that they were going to get divorced, and that i’m going to be kicked out of the house. I probably won’t have my laptop for much longer. This is all because the house is moderately unorganized and dirty. This has genuinely scared me. I need to detach myself. From everyone. The volatile nature of human emotion is entirely unreliable. Its Wholesale instability has driven me to the point where I feel like I’m going to throw up. If this actually happens like they are outlining it, I have no idea of what I am going to do. I’m scared.

In some ways this can be seen as a view of sexism from both sides.  Girls thinking guys only care about every part of a way girls look, and the fact that there is a small bit of truth in it in the way some, but not all, guys act.  Honestly, changing the way you look probably won’t change the amount of attraction someone feels towards you in such a drastic manner that what you might hope to happen will.  And even though it should go without saying, trying to please everyone, it will make you unhappy and judgmental and raise others expectations based on the way you have acted. It will make you burnt out on trying to make people happy and you may say or do something that will put you in a bad light.  Especially if you are a woman since popular culture seems to put women’s sexuality on a high pedestal and if a woman isn’t that correct mix of prude and sexy other people will use it against her.  Of course you could always just decide to act however the fuck you want to, but you’ll end up as a social outcast. Not that that is a bad thing.  And now that I’m thinking about it, the people who make these silly things  probably don’t realize that human brains kind of all act in the same ways and while the different chemical balances may change some things they don’t cause such a drastic difference that make men more judgmental than women, that is just a human trait, not one defined by gender.  Think about it, everyone feels the same thing when someone they love dies, so why would they feel different things in different situations.  It is all about how they would act in your position and how you would act in theirs.  If you find yourself agreeing with this comic/picture/thing you probably need to broaden your view of humanity (And by this I don’t mean get a worldview, but be more empathic) and stop following popular culture and the stereotypes of the sexes and sexuality that come with it.

New MacBook Pro: Hi res screen, USB 3.0, ultra thin design, no optical drive

iheartchaos:

It looks like Apple’s reading a brand new 15” MacBook Pro for later this year, and according to the Apple rumor mill, the new MBP will have a high res Retina Display screen, USB 3.0 ports an an ultra thin design, minus an optical port. I know I gave shit to Windows 8 for not initially supporting CD or DVD playback out of the box, and it just looks like this is the future. Anything that’s not downloaded will probably come on a USB stick, like recent releases of Mac OS X.
